Sam and Allana Guidry live in Toledo Ohio with their four children. They are the Urban Missionaries in Toledo. Sam is a graduate of Central Bible College earning his BA in Bible and Theology. Allana is recovering from a Bone Marrow Transplant necessitated by a bout with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Together they have answered God’s call to serve him in the city of Toledo. Sam and Allana have 5 children and 2 grandchildren. Their three girls live with them in South Toledo. The oldest boy along with his wife and two sons in the Minneapolis area. He teaches music in a local public school and she provides private violin lessons. The other boy is serving in the Army and recently married after he came back from a year in Korea. They are stationed at Fort Campbell and live in Clarksville Tennessee. He is working on a human resources degree and preparing to attend seminary when he leaves the Army.
Sam serves with Cherry Street Mission Ministries and shares God’s message of perseverance and steadfast faith through his blog and personally with men who desire to fan the flame of God’s gift in their lives. Allana has established an online ministry to women, True Beauty. True Beauty has grown over the past year and is now composed of three groups and about 60 women. On January 4th 2013 Allana was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This was further complicated by the presence of the Philadelphia Chromosome. The story of their journey with God into ministry and through this time of struggle can be found here . Allana is doing very well and looks forward to 5 years post transplant on June 14, 2018. True Beauty will hold its Never Alone Conference that week and a celebration banquet is planned for Sunday June 17th.
